Welcome Back to School!!!
2007 is going to be a Very Good Year!
There's a heap of turmoil and trouble on this fascinating planet we all share - but, it's a beautiful and mysterious place, and no doubt the future will unfold in ways that will surprise, shock and delight us, quite probably in very differently from those we expect and worry about.
We at The Slushie Co love what we do (most of the time!) and one of the biggest delights for us is the people we meet and mix with in the course of our working days. We are very lucky because so many of the folk we serve are so very good - just to get on with!
And that's why, for us, I predict a Very Good Year!
Now, to business...
Orders and Deliveries
We haven't call for your Order- yet! We apologise for not doing so this first two weeks of term.
This is simply because so many people call us, and we have to give over all our time to handling the demand.
However, from the week starting Monday 12th Feb, normal service will resume - we will call you every two weeks.
As before, we call Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday of the designated week, and we deliver by that Friday.
New Flavours
We will be introducing some exciting new flavours this term - not long to come!!
Hot Weather - it might happen!
Very Hot days can challenge your Slushie Machine. The combination of hot air being sucked into the cooling system and the melting effect of the ambient heat can more than treble the Machine's usual workload. It is very important to ensure that your Machine is working at peak efficiency.
- Please make sure your Machine's air filter is clean (follow directions in the manual).
- Ensure there is as much space as possible around the Machine, so that it can breathe easy.
- If your Machine becomes very hot and/or the alarm starts going off (some machines only), then switch the Machine off with the big green switch. Let it stand for a while, and cool down. Obviously, you wouldn't do this if you are soon to serve!
- If you have applied these remedies and it is still hot, then remove the air filter altogether - in the short term this will improve airflow considerably. However, it must be put back just as soon as it gets cooler.
New Branding
We are going to be re-branding your machines with our new logo. This will not be done all at once, but as we work our way around, servicing the machines.
Rene - doing her bit for Australia!
Last year, we introduced Rene to you, she used to phone for your order.
Rene has just given birth to a beautiful bouncing boy - and has gone all slushie - to the point that she has decided to be a full-time Mum. She will still help us from time-to-time; however, her attention is now taken almost fully by her growing family. Wonderful!!
